Tell us about your role at Kathryn Wilson Footwear?

I’m blessed to be part of the KW team assisting part time at the gorgeous new KW boutique in Remuera.  The community has been so welcoming and we’ve received such favourable feedback. It’s a joy to delight people and already see repeat custom within the short time  we’ve been open. Many walk into the boutique commenting on how uplifted they feel and of course they LOVE the shoes, especially the range of loafers. The added bonus is the introduction of the clothing range including Cocoa  cashmere sourced from London.

In three words describe your personal style?

Hmm, tough one to answer as it depends on how I feel on the day!  I can enjoy crisp and preppy one day, soft and romantic another, rock chick and fun the next and elegance,  simplicity and fine tailoring following. However I’m not shy of colour and I very rarely wear black. Sorry that's not three words!

What is your favourite KW shoe this season and how do you style it?

Jade Slingback in Black Suede... Such an easy heel that elevates any outfit! 

- Black Capri pants and crisp white cotton/ silk shirt knotted at waist

- Fuschia pink tutu and luscious piece of cashmere

- Ankle length jeans, white t shirt and sharp tailored Jacket

- Soft flowing / fluid dress in block colour and a bling bracelet and  or earrings

What do you love to do outside of work?

Gardening - constantly rearranging a look, changing things up each season.
Catching up with good friends,
Movies - especially International film festival , French & Italian
Love to eat out ( and cook) with good friends
Down time and walks with our darling wee westie pup, Rupert .
Concerts pre Covid and looking forward to concerts ahead!

The 2 Audreys - Audrey Hepburn and Audrey Tautou (and anyone who is confident in their own skin)

Heels, flats or sneakers?

Heels definitely! But  a gorgeous flat deserves place in the wardrobe ie. the amazing Gigi Loafer in cobalt!

 

Describe your favourite KW moment or memory 

Kathryn's outstanding extravaganza fashion shows; standouts have been at Michael Hill’ s golf club in Queenstown and on the Ernslaw. I also had unexpected  surgery last year and a parcel arrived at our front door . Kathryn had sent me a gorgeous pair of lounge mules.  Such a surprise and I was very touched.

Favourite flower?

Again, too hard to name just one! I always fill my home with gardenias, heirloom roses , peonies when I can
